Dunn’s River Falls & Ocho Rios Sightseeing Montego Bay
The friendly, English speaking guide will be providing interesting information about the plan for the day and also about Jamaica.
Your route for the excursion takes you from Montego Bay along the coastline to another famous city and port of Ocho Rios. You will pass down the stunning 3 mile stretch of roadway known as Fern Gully so named for the 300+ varieties of ferns growing along the road.
There is an optional shopping stop in Ocho Rios afterwards where you can find great duty free bargains and deals at Soni’s and Taj Mahal Plazas. Whether you are looking for souvenirs, fine jewelry or hand crafted crafts, you just might find it all right here.
Your next stop is the iconic Dunn’s River Water Falls. The falls are one of the national treasures of Jamaica that thousands come to visit each year. When you arrive, you will get to join in the fun and climb up the falls! Just like a salmon, your guide will lead your group as a human-chain on a climb to the top. You can pause along the way in one of the calm pools for a water massage as it cascades over the rocks. The views of the ocean are incredible. You can also just wait at the bottom, relax in the cool water and watch the others go up.
There are shops to browse for souvenirs, woodcarving items, straw crafts and other art pieces at the Dunn’s River Craft Park. Then, visit the famous, former 3 time Olympian and fastest man in the world, Usain Bolt’s restaurant where you can purchase a meal of delicious jerk chicken, jerk pork and the locals favorite – cornmeal festival or roast yam or rice/peas. Definitely an experience of a lifetime!!! After your excursion you will have the option to go shopping or have your driver you back to the cruise pier in Montego Bay.
The price is based on 1-3 persons with an additional charge for extra guest.
